Description

The Rapiscan Security Products, Inc. MXRVS mobile x-ray system utilizes a Semi Trailer as the vehicle to support operation of a 3 - 4 MeV linear accelerator (Linac); a 450 kV or a 450 kV Dual Energy X-ray generator. Includes the desirable system attributes of a low cost, small physical size and highly re-locatable design. Reliability is enhanced over re-locatable designs that require assembly and disassembly of the system each time it is deployed by permanently installing all components on a single mobile platform. The trailer design allows compliance with maximum axle weight limits for highway and bridge operation but with all the scanning capabilities of a truck mounted system. The tractor provides the means for towing of the system from point of operation to point of operation, but it is not required for scanning.
